First K-3 Shot
Lens: smc Pentax FA 100mm f1:2.8 Macro Camera: K-3 Photo Location: Moreton, Queensland, Australia ISO: 400 Shutter Speed: 1/200s Aperture: F5.6
Posted By: AussieTrev, 11-07-2013, 11:39 PM

It arrived. Just a quick shot. Cropped it for the detail. Unfortunately Aperture doesn't understand the DNG or PEF file formats yet. Used the Digital Camera Utility and imported the Tiff.

It seems to handle the shots well. Still waiting for some to arrive in the West.

Thanks. Was just a rushed shot, had to take one before reading the manual. I'm looking forward to no AA filter.

Nice shot of the female parts. The K3 looks good, but I'm not quite ready to trade my 2 months old K5 ii in yet.

Regards

Thank you. I jumped a model from the K-5. Sort of sad knowing that I'll be favoring the K-3 and not using the K-5 much.

Thanks Charlie. Disappointed in Apple dragging their heals on the raw support. Will slow my shooting down due to no post processing.

Thanks Susan. Looking forward to pushing it a bit and see where it takes me. Missed the morning today went for a run instead, then there is always the afternoon, always two good parts of the day.

Very nice! Congrats on your new K-3. Norman has this camera and same issue with Apple… very frustrating. Can't wait to see true RAW images and their possibilities.
