For the last few years we have had an unusual native resident in our neighbourhood.
The Australians on the forum will of course know that Magpies are normally black and white. This one appears to be albino, or nearly albino. When he/she was younger he was more all over white…seems to have developed a caramel colour over the years.
Magpies are territorial and he seems to have a group/flock that he belongs to, and is often seen along our suburban street.
He also seems to go about the normal magpie business, singing and calling from the street poles, hanging out with his mates etc.
I am so far from being a good bird photographer (well, maybe a good anything photographer) that it's not funny…so the photos are posted for record more than artistic purposes. I thought a few of the bird inclined folk on the forum may be interested in seeing this guy (or girl).
Input from the experts welcome
Cheers
Dean
