Storm season is on its way Downunder, All B&W and IR jpegs directly out of the K-5

Nice... I like the 4th shot since it gives the storm front a good sense of scale.

Yes, It was massive, all these were actually the DA*16-50 / 2.8, Last one at 16mm

The IR also helped to pull the cloud from the sky as well. Black and White is the default jpeg on my K-5.

The K5 does a great job in the IR mode.I use it plus a polarizer at times when the sky is blue with the fluffy white clouds.--charliezap

That's a good Idea Charlie, may have to fish out my polarisers to give it a go.

Good shots of a classic convection storm! I used to see them all the time in northern NSW and southern Qld. I haven't seen anything like it down south, although we've had plenty of storms.

Yeap, classic storm fronts up here, hope we don't get too many of the horrid one tho.

Thanks Susan, It was quite menacing to watch it roll across the sky,

And the IR is great in the K-5, excellent for these kinds of shots.
