Lens: DA* 16-50 Camera: K5 classic Photo Location: NL ISO: 3200 Shutter Speed: 1/250s Aperture: F2.8

Yesterday I had a sudden assignment, an old friend and teacher asked me to shoot pictures at a MMA/muay thai-event he organised. Totally unprepared I tried to make the best of it but I found it extremely difficult due to the bad lighting, the limited pov and the fast action. The DA* 16-50 was the fastest lens I took but it was too short, slow on AF and struggled to keep focus in the backlighting (and I don`t even wanna talk about the sigma 17-70 and the tamron 90mm...), also flare was a problem.

Nevertheless I did get some nice shots and learned a lot. Now trying to figure out which lens would be best for this, I was allready aware that my range has a gap between 50mm and 100mm...So, now what, DA* 50-135 F2.8 or sigma 50-150 F2.8?

Thanks for looking & kind regards,
Jacco
