Yankee Stadium Part II - Monument Park
Posted By: vievetrick, 04-04-2008, 06:13 AM

Here are a few more shots from my trip to Yankee Stadium this week. Again all taken with Pentax k10 and for these all the DA 16-45. Enjoy and comments always welcomed. GO SOX!!!!

They do call it "The House that Ruth Built"

I just wanted him to know the Sox have one a couple. I know took 86 years but that is history. That is me shot taken by my buddy.

I never noticed the bat on the flag on TV.

Hope you enjoyed it. Thanks for looking.

Yankee Stadium is a place I want to visit before they tear it down and put up one of those new ballparks, loaded with luxury suites and no soul. I want to stroll through Monument Park and remember a day when the Yankees were actually the Good Guys. But, I doubt my wife will let me wear my "Y*****s S**k" T-shirt.

Those are nice shots, but it looks like the light was pretty harsh.

Love the memories Pat. I guess for me it will be a while before I can get back to the stadium, By that time they will already be in the process of tearing it down I got to see many a game played there while I was on the road as a driver. The shots are a great reminder.
As Bob Hope would say (Thanks for the memories).

Wadda mean Bob who???
Your not that young.

It's kind of amazing. Babe Ruth really is globally known person, even in countries like mine where practically no one play base ball (we have a different variation we do play). Only I did not realize he was from that early era, I thought he played like in the fifties or sixties...
