That would be enough for me--but you might have been disappointed, without the big one to supplement it, that is. I bet it tasted good!

Sometimes One Bite Is Just Enough!

Hi Dave,
Sometimes you have just this little bit of filling left over...and maybe a tiny piece of dough...
Great photo, it really draws the eye. Hope you got a piece of the full-sized pie to go with it!
My sister bought a key lime pie for desert and sent another piece home with me. It's calling my name, sitting in the fridge. Must resist, control....

If the temptation of the key lime pie is too much, just send it to me. I'll take very good care of it, I promise.

Unless the filling is green, of course, which is a sure sign it isn't genuine Key lime pie... (prolly tastes great, though, whatever it is)

Thanks!

My wife makes one or two pies a year, but it's a maximum effort. The crust is all handmade with a pastry cutter. The filling starts with a kabocha if we can find it, a pie pumpkin if not. The kabocha is sweeter than a pumpkin. She even grinds her own nutmeg. It is the kind of pie that makes you not want to eat anyone else's version.

I have a piece or two of pie calling to me from the fridge also. There goes the old waistline.
