Walkabout with a Protégé
Posted By: daacon, 04-04-2008, 09:13 AM

I drove my daughter downtown last night for a 5 minute task, then her and I went out and about and shot some stuff - she has always liked photography. I can see the chances of me selling older equipment may not be so much an option for a while

Here are a couple of shots she took I really like

And one of the master (and by master of course I mean the one who has the camera's and money in the event the student wants to borrow the gear hahah)

Nice shots Dave's daughter! I especially like the second with the great diagonal and the smaller vertical lines. But who's the old coot what has his hood on backwards?
*runs away quickly*

Nice photos by your daughter Dave. I like the silouette of the tree's branches/twigs against the sky and the contrasting lines of the second one. And of course the documentary image capturing thinning hairlines. Think you'd probably still beat me (only just) though Dave re insulation on top.

Nice shots those Dave, (by your daughter). Love the tree/light contrast against the sky.
I would kill to have half the thatching you've got there. Mine almost completely disappeared years ago.
When outdoors my saying "no hat, no me!"
Remembering we have a harsh sun in Aus. Highest rate of melanoma (skin cancer) in the world!

To be truthful, I don't know who I'm calling old, my nephew (who is now in his 20's btw) was heard to comment once "Uncle Pete! Huh! He's almost as old as god!"

NaCl(but it is NOT TRUE that I once dated god's mom when she was a teenager)H2O

The first two are quite artistic. The composition is better on the 2nd shot. Overall, the feeling is well captured
