Just two gold ones, painted to celebrate the two Gold Medal wins of the Olympic cyclist Sir Chris Hoy, who comes from Edinburgh.

It is in fact an early Dalek prototype, but its catchline of "We will stamp you out" never caught on, and was reassigned to other duties.

However, another piece of British street furniture, the police box, survived its early auditions...
