the IR Rose
Lens: 50mm f/2.8 Camera: K5 Photo Location: NV

Seeing all of the beautiful rose photos by EM and flower photos by others on the forum, I shifted gears and shot this one in the IR mode for a different view.

Looks like "glow" mode to me, Bob. Interesting and different.

Wow! It does look like it's lit from behind. Amazing effect. Thank you for sharing!

thanks Tess, it did get back lit a bit from an off camera flash I used.

and it was cool outside too Dave, I took the photo after sunset using a off camera flash to try and backlight the flower. Temperature was near 60f, shows how dedicated I am to get out in that type of weather.

thanks buddy, I'm trying out an idea for a "fire rose" but the people at the campground don't like all of the smoke.
