Egret Fishing

A few more from our trip last month.

You have to be quick to catch one underwater.



Hang on tight so you don't lose it.



Oops!



Mortally wounded, you can recapture it easily.



Then there is the swallowing.

Great action and great exposures, Susan. The detail in the white birds is fantastic. Do you spot meter the birds?

Thanks Jer. Yeah, I mostly spot meter them especially the ones with all that white. Still blow out some though but I find the metering is improving faster than the photography . In the marshes there is also plenty of neutral gray in the grass and the marsh floor to meter off of so I use that a lot too.
