Wrong camera - Wrong Lens
Lens: Vivitar 28-105 Camera: K100D
Posted By: old4570, 12-11-2013, 09:53 PM

Wish I had had a different camera , but I had to try with what was on hand ...

K100D + Vivitar 28-105 F3.5 manual focus + 40mm Macro extension ...

This was the only one worth a share :

One of the holly grails of Macro = "Hovering Bee"

Given a choice between a stack of decent pictures, or one killer shot like this, I'd take the one shot any day of the week. This is so cool! I don't think the best gear in the world could give you anything better.

I love passion flowers, too. One of the few flowers I can identify. It is a passion flower, right?

A great shot. I'm not sure what was wrong with the camera and lens!

A play on the fact I have better cameras and lenses ...

I was testing the vivitar lens ( Old manual zoom lens ) and had a 36mm Macro tube behind it ... To improve the macro ...

Dunno. He might ask if his bum looks big in this.

So what is exactly wrong with this image, I'm not getting any problems, I think it's a stunning shot, well done.

I shudder to think what you might do with the right camera and lens. Personally speaking I would be tickled pink if I captured that image with anything I own.
