Great action shots. They look like they're having a great day at the park. If I even used to say the word "park" to my schnauzer, he would go all postal with happiness.

Ha! Yeah, really caught the right moments and framed them well. I love the first one. Its really great to see photos of interaction and relationships, even if its dogs arguing over the ownership of a ball

Thanks! Skippy gets excited whenever I pick up the camera bag. She's indifferent to the camera itself, but it usually means a trip to the park.

You said "used to," what happened to your schnauzer?

Indeed it was!

Right out from under Carrie-Anne the Crazy Coonhound's nose! That last picture was taken immediately before Skippy ran into the camera. It's okay, everybody was fine, and, most importantly, she didn't drop the ball.

Thanks! I don't think I've ever gotten such a coherent thread of interaction before. I got pretty lucky with this series, and the ultrawide really helps to take it all in, without worrying much about focus or framing. It's more about putting the camera in the right place, rather than pointing it.

Hmmm... never heard that one before. Skippy likes cats, too.

Unfortunately, dogs get old and his time was up. He had a tough early life of bouncing from rescue shelter to rescue shelter before we adopted him (major attitude) and then he had about 5 great years with us. He was the second mini-schnauzer I've owned. Fantastic breed though, obviously, I'm biased.

I'm sorry to hear that, but I'm glad you had such a good time together. I like the breed, too, and my mom actually has one. They live up on the Oregon coast. I had a post with a few pictures of him a little while ago, here: A dog's hike - PentaxForums

Thanks Charlie. That's how I think of dogs: simple but very fine.
