the Mojave Desert
Posted By: Bob Harris, 12-19-2013, 11:14 PM

A view from the High Desert looking down into the Pahrump Valley. Our desert is abundant in plant and wildlife. I took the photo while searching for a herd of wild mustangs at the 5500' level and was fortunate to locate several stragglers.

Nice, mountains look like painting. Big bush in front is little disturbing me, its just too big to fit there nicely in my eye.
That is a huge Yucca that I wanted to include in the photo to show the diversity of the plant life here. thanks Bob.

What a view! Nice shooting and great horsey shot too! I love the desert more than anyplace else, the quiet beauty of it! Love your travels......and one day I hope you will travel to Big Bend and post some of your fine shots so all can see what a gorgeous desert it is!

Regards!
Rupert, we were there about eight years ago, very unique area and it does have it's own beauty doesn't it. Like this desert it is a bit uncomfortable during the summer months, but popular wintering area for us RVers.

Bob, is that a 5.0-liter Mustang or does it have the 3.7-liter V-6?

Jer
Jer, here is some of the leftover fuel that we first found before locating the horses, looks high octane to me..
