Ponte Vecchio
Lens: Pentax DA 18‑135mm Camera: K30 Photo Location: Florence ISO: 200 Shutter Speed: Above 6s Aperture: F13.5

This past October, my wife and I visited Tuscany for my sister's wedding. It was our first trip out of the country and we had a wonderful time. I came back with almost 200 keepers and, although I took this half way through our trip, I knew it would be my favorite. I hope it transports you to this wonderful place.

We loved Tuscany and I remember the Ponte Vecchio well (I think it has something to do with my wife's gold jewellery purchase!) I must go through our shots and put an album together. Thanks for the nice image and timely reminder.

I can see why this one is your favorite. I feel like a voyeur as I can almost see what is going on inside those well lit rooms. Wonderful shot.

Ah, but what is going on? Are they shops, flats, what? Wonderful image, truly, I'm just curious (never have been to Italy and probably won't get there...)

For your curiousity, OrchidJulie: The Ponte Vecchio is famous for its gold traders. Those well-lit windows are mostly jewellers.

Great shot. Better than mine. I was with a tour group so I couldn't wait for a better time. Took this with a Canon point&shot in 2009.
