Here is a photo I took on the Cathedral in Strasbourg. The previous photograph is the two birds just standing there, and then they started cuddling! I was surprised that the handheld shot with the K-r and kit lens turned out like this

Indeed surprisingly nice results with a kit lens - you obviously have steady hands as well as a good eye!
