I love sunsets on the lake as well as the local wildlife. The osprey pic was taken using a Pentax 55-300 at 300, 1/400, F11, ISO400. I am a beginner but hope to learn better technique.

I really like the top picture (sunset).

Not an expert so cannot really offer anything just to say the slant on the horizon line is the only distracting thing (in my amateur opinion)... Love the dock leading the eye into the sunset... beautiful picture.

I recognize that pier. We were there a couple of years ago and it was really nice to see it again and all lit up by the setting sun. Welcome to the forums. Can't wait to see more from you.

I agree with guest I like the first shot . I would take it a trip thru PP and do a small bit of adjusting. Like straighten the horizon remove the pole out in the water and remove the dirt spec in the sky. I would also blow my sensor with a rocket blower to clean it. I might also remove the white streaks in the sky, or not .
With the OP's permission.

A fine moody shot that you feel like you could actually be there seeing that with you own eyes, well done.

Hey you, put that pole back, that pole there really made the shot for me.

I would but it may be a periscope of some sub spying. So I removed it so they would be blind as to what I was doing
