I am sure Rupert will enjoy this. These are big spiders. Walking into their webs is not nice. I don't know if they are venomous or not but their webs are like strands of piano wire.

They vary in size but can have a span of 4 to 5 inches.

Damn! Almost missed this! Handsome guy! From my understanding, all spiders are venomous, but few are truly harmful to humans, and few are aggressive. I do love spiders, all of them.
Eaglem, I found one in my bathroom a while back so small that he would barely cover the period at the end of this sentence. I tried and tried to shoot him, but never could get a shot with any detail. They come in all sizes, shapes and colors...fascinating. I also read that unless you are in Antarctica, you are never more than 4 feet away from a spider. Knowing how small they can be, I think that may be the truth!

You could cover this bloom with a dime....so you can see how tiny this spider is, and he's a giant compared to the one in my bathroom!
