Rail crossing at sunset
Lens: DA*60-250 Camera: K-3 Photo Location: Niagara Falls, Canada ISO: 100 Aperture: F8

A few I almost forgot about.... a sunset, a railroad, and an ice storm, sounds like a good time to take some pictures.

Thanks for sharing this great series. My favorite is #3. I keep going back to it .With the lighting and sky, it sort of has the feel of the peace before the storm. It ranks up there with my favorites of the year.

Yes, the lighting in the first is perfect.

VERY nice, Norm! Love the first one especially (and the little bit of flare doesn't matter). Great light, a dramatic sky, and a nice wintry scene that could be either peaceful or ominous depending on your own mood :-)

Great set of images. #1 has a quiet drama and balance to it that keeps me coming back. Thanks.

Really like the light on the rails of the last one (like you the flare just takes off the edge for me on the first one).

Never the less a fine set of images.

Thanks, it was avery compelling scene, I passed up birds at the beach to come back and get it.

The first one taken before the sun went down, has the colour, but everyone has that flare in it. Must have ben a reflection off the tracks or something.
