Model in the making
Posted By: Ash, 04-08-2008, 09:36 PM

It was an absolute joy to capture these portraits.
This friend's 2 year old was so comfortable in front of the camera, holding her poses with natural expressions, it was just a photographer's dream for child portraiture.

Taken with Tammy 28-75 at f/3.5 in ambient light, only slight PP adjustments.
C&C welcome.

Now to be honest, though, the original picture appears better saturated and more contrasty than the the same picture uploaded onto the user's gallery. Not sure why. The shots were all shot in AdobeRGB colourspace, if that makes a difference...

Thanks Kris,
I've linked the pictures to the correct address, but for some reason they're not coming through.
Sad though, those one would have looked much better on screen...

Real sweetie, and perhaps knowingly so, as little girls should when posing in that age

What a doll! I wish my 3.5 year old grandaughter would pose like this.

Wonderful pictures.

Some very nice photos of a cute little girl Ashraf, thanks for posting them. You shot them in Abobe RGB, did you convert them to sRGB before posting?

Very cute kid!

Especially like #3 - her eyes make the shot.

Great job!

Thanks guys.
It's great with such a cooperative mode.

I did not convert my files to sRGB. I've been told now that I need to do this each time I submit pictures online.... A minor but very important detail that's handy to know...

As a note your last images are not showing because tripod disables hotlinking. So anyone wanting to see the photos should right click on the image and cut and paste it into the addressbar of their browser and hit enter. You may also need to refresh.

I would recommend getting a photobucket or flicker account to avoid this
