For the Doctor Who fans out there...
Camera: Pentax K5
Posted By: mikerigel, 01-05-2014, 08:19 AM

Here's a few samples from a Doctor Who theme shoot, with a friend obviously crazy about the show..
He kinda looks like the 10th doctor, originally played by David Tennant, so we went with it!!
The post production is a little on a gritty, very sharp side on purpose, to fit the fantasy look of the show
All taken with K5.
Exif data is posted before each shot.

1/100s f/6.3 at 16.0mm iso200
Pentax DA 12-24mm

1/100s f/6.3 at 21.0mm iso200
Pentax DA 12-24mm

1/100s f/6.3 at 24.0mm iso200
Pentax DA 12-24mm

1/60s f/9.0 at 50.0mm iso200
Pentax DA 50mm f/1.8

1/80s f/5.0 at 12.0mm iso100
Pentax DA 12-24mm

1/100s f/1.8 at 50.0mm iso80
Pentax DA 50mm f/1.8

More shots here if interested.

I've never watched Doctor Who (I don't even know what it's about) but these are some very interesting images.

Thank you! The screwdriver belongs to my friend, like all the other props.

Great shots. He does look like the 10th doctor. Now you need to find a Rose or Donna lookalike and a Tardis backdrop!

Very good. My wife is a big fan of Dr. Who...she says your friend does look like David Tennant and some of those shots....#'s 1, 5+6...kind of look a bit like they could be studio stills.

Thank you! I bounced my external flash all over in this abandoned stairwell case and I'm quite happy how the lighting came out, looking sometimes like a controlled studio environment.
I will let him know about the compliment! He will like that!
