Coastal cloudscapes and more
Lens: DA*16-50 Camera: K-5 Photo Location: Ternaard, Netherlands ISO: 80 Aperture: F8
Posted By: Fries, 01-07-2014, 03:50 PM

No snow in my country yet but record high temperatures for january, lots of wind and rain. When I looked out of my window and saw the clouds drifting by I drove to one of my favorite spots to combine the weather and the sea.

Cheers,

Remco

Keitha thank you! As somebody who enjoys your photography very much I am very pleased you liked them. I used Aperture for the basic things and a few home made presets (with some tweaks) in Color Effex and Silver Effex for the black&white one.

Thanks Bob! Not as colorful as yours but they'll do. The flat country over here is just perfect for photographing the clouds. Some painters in the 17'the century beat me to this discovery though...

Spectacular! There's something very calming to me about the simplicity of #2. All of them are fantastic.

I love 'em, Remco - the third one especially takes my eye. A lot of creative photography and hard work represented in these terrific pics.

Thank you! I'm glad you picked up on that in the second photo because it is precisely the effect it has on me.

Jer, thanks! It isn't that hard work really. I remember feeling mentally refreshed and charged up after my visit to this part of our coast. Today I was contacted by some people at my place of work. They told me that they will use the third picture along with 9 others to make some big canvasses out of them and hang them in our video editing rooms. (I'm a radio&tv journalist for a regional broadcasting station.)
