Beautiful birds, and beautifully captured, despite the difficult lighting.

PS - Are these typical winter residents in your area, or are they moving south with the extreme cold?

Thank you They have been here for a long time, but some years they are hard to find, this year has been good ( Saw four of them on friday). The snow owl is the emblemma of Québec.

Beautiful pictures. Beautiful owl. I'd love to see one in person. There was an article in our local paper today that one has made it's way down to my home state (West Virginia).

Lovely shots. When the snow buntings leave here, the males are stark white with black wings, the females off-white with more brown. You would not know they are the same bird. As to the Snowy Owl (Oopik up here), it's the young owls that migrate south. The mature ones stick around in the Arctic. Thanks for posting.
