I spent the entire day down in SF's Embarcadero trying to get a glimpse of the Olympic torch. Granted, in my dirty mind, I wanted to photograph protesters harassing the torch runners to get some dramatic shots. However, that opportunity (thankfully) never arose, as the route was changed at the very last minute to dodge all the protests.

So, all I was able to get was some lousy photos of various protesters...

I think they might as well call the Torch relay off, take it to China and run it around over there....where the Chinese Govt can have the expense of providing the security.

Wow, look at the second shot - This seems to be the dramatic shot OP wanted.
But, to attack a person on a wheelchair!? Is this kind of human right we want Chinese to have?

Are you sure it is the same person? Looks like he had plenty of spare money to fly from London to Paris. Wish someone gave me that money to cure my LBA a bit.
