Nature Wind storm over Penghu islands

Wind storm over Penghu islands · **1 Like**

The photos, taken during a windstorm over Penghu Islands, sum up the strong wind and wave conditions. Several ferry services were shut down. The scenery was beautiful despite the stormy weather conditions. Penghu Islands are also called Pescadores Islands. More information: ?????????????.

The photos were taken in Tv mode at high shutter speed in purpose. Minimum PP with PDCU 4.40.

I am glad that I had my K-7 (WR camera) with the large amount of salty spray and splashes. As usual, the DA18-250mm did the job well with a little of TLC: what a sturdy lens!

Thanks for the comment. Contrary to some trends, I love to shoot water in Tv mode at High shutter speed, and I feel that it worked nicely this time. It requires some good light got course....

Thanks for your comments. I would have liked a fast shutter speed (1/20,000 s), if I could then.

hcc, one of only a few pictures I have seen of Penghu and never been there myself. It looks very nice whereas the cost facing it in Taiwan is rather plain. I hear it is a great place for eating fish.

The Pescadores islands (or Penghu) are beautiful places, great for fishing and eating seafood. The North-Western plains of Taiwan are a bit crowdy, but the South and East have beautiful scenaries.

I just come back from 3 weeks there (in Pingtung, Kaohsiung, Tainan, Nantou and Penghu) and I love it. As soon as you get away from Tapei, there are superb places. But it is a harsh country with earhtquakes and typhoons each year.
