This is a photo I took from the train window as we were traveling by the Douro River. I really like it in B&W.

Here's another of what my husband will say is one of my "artsy" shots. I tried to bring out the reflections of the train I was in... does that work? Love/hate? Indifferent?

Shame, if the detail is there printed large it must be something. BTW is that a person left of the building?

I don't think there's a person - just fence. Thanks for commenting.

I hope you don't mind--although sharpening is not a cure all for soft images--the second image w/ the reflection of the train window/door (?) is very soft due (presumably) to the window and motion blur--and I think it needs sharpening. Which I did here. BTW I did not try "motion blur" in the photoshop's smart sharpen filter, and it might do better.

I really like the first one as well! Really well composed, especially considering it was shot on a moving train!!

Don't mind at all and I think it does seem to help that image.

Thanks, everyone. I like the first photo too.

Works for me, but then I bias cos I love a good reflection.

Many of my "Spot the Kerrowdowns" work on the reflection premise.

I do like the first one - second one for me not so much but it's all subjective :-)
