Ugh..That scarf doesn't go with anything. You'd think the alpaca would have better dress-sense.
Beautiful colours and focus. Nice.

Regards

The title made me think "The fast food joints are taking this 'tenders' idea a little far. Chicken tenders I don't have a problem with, but alpaca?!?!" Nice pic though. Somewhere around here I have one of a llama hitched to Santa's sleigh.

Thanks for the comments all. I took this with my brand new DA 70mm limited. So far I'm very pleased with it! I have another photo of this woman and in both photos it seems she's deliberately looking away. Made me wonder if it's a cultural thing... Some eye contact would have been nice!

To me it seems like the alpaca was posing for the money, and she just happened to be there

Great picture.

What a precious scene! Peru is where alpacas come from, isn't it?

Thanks! Yes, I think they're mostly from Peru and maybe Bolivia as well. There are a lot of alpaca wool (technically I suppose it's "fiber") products for sale in Peru (hats, gloves, scarves, sweaters etc.) and those that are made of the wool from baby alpacas are more valuable (softer, finer wool). You can also dine on alpaca in local restaurants! I chose not to, but I did try guinea pig (another Peruvian staple; mostly it was more effort than it was worth for the small amount of meat to be had).
