Great shots. Showing the strengths of the 55-300.

Corellas are fun. They have such a distinct personality.

Great shots, good thing the pics don't come with sound effects, could'nt handle 5.1 surround squawking!

I had a whole flock of Corellas to photograph and didn't get shots as good as these! I love the shot where the bird is hanging upside down - they really know how to have fun!

These are very well done, Cee Cee - details of the bird's feathery body are really clear and all the "poses" are marvelous.

Excelent images Cee Cee, they certainly appear to be having a grand old time. Thanks for sharing the joy. (It was 36 below this morning here, we needed a little of that joy.) Did you know at -40 Fahrenheit and Celsius are the same?

Great series. Shots like these are definitely helping me in my search for a new lens.

thanks for your comments RobG, there must have been 100+ birds in the park, mostly in the one tree. I had a lot to chose from, cheers

thank you Norm, looking at my thermometer I can confirm this, I don't think I've ever had reason to look below about 6 or 7' C, glad the birds bought you some cheer.

thanks Tony, not having the budget for any of the rockstar lens I think this one is a nice compromise, and makes a nice light travel kit with 18-55 (which I don't have) or sigma 17-70 (which I do have) or something similar, cheers

hey thanks Bob, they were acting up for the camera I'm sure, when I was leaving a bunch of about 30 or 40 birds flew to a tree just where I was leaving the park, as though they weren't quite finished with me yet, but the camera was back in the bag at that stage so I kept walking and avoided eye contact .
