Rarely seen around here, freezing rain is falling as I type this and trees have become icy. I recorded the event primarily because the crappy weather is keeping me from doing something more interesting; the result is below. This photo, which is a 100% crop, was shot through a window from the dry, warm comfort of our music room.

This morning, the ice on the trees remain unmelted! In the 18 years we've lived here, I don't recall the temperature remaining below freezing for over 24 hours. The ice will melt today, for sure - highs around 60F are predicted.
