Amish Farms
Posted By: ramseybuckeye, 02-01-2014, 09:02 PM

Last week when I had Monday off I decided to go to a few places just for photos. Hardin County has a big Amish population and I love to go though it and usually catch a good scene somewhere. This time I went down a road that I have not been on before. These two farms were close together, if you notice the main part of the house is nearly identical, they are probably newer houses. Even though I've saw a lot of new Amish houses where they are attached to or integrated with the barn. This was just a gray day and black and white seemed right for these. The Amish are kind of a black and white society anyway.

Those are nice. I agree that the Amish are kind of an apropos B&W subject.

Thanks Bob, the persective work well, the cow was close to road where I took the picture from, the house and barn were probably more than 100 yards away.

Man, I love these B&Ws. They sure remind me of our years in Ohio and when I scoured the rural areas for photos with my then-brand-new Pentax MX.

You did such a wonderful job with these and you are right about making them B&W.
