Muah Thai

I made a series off portraits from Muah Thai fighters who will fight in mai and september for the A1 World Combat Cup for -70kg overhere. Next to that that are a few other fights. The big fight is in the heavy weight K-1 with Badr Hari as the favorit fighter. He wasn't there yesterday, but will soon be on a press conference, and I hope to make a portrait as well. Some other fights will be there and this giant is one off the big guys with like almost 7 feet hight.

Or should I make it in color?

Tickets are expensive this time and will cost 100 euro! There are 4000 seats in the venue. The ground floor is for table's and you can buy an 8 seat table for 1500 euro. I'm looking forward to be at the ringsite.

I like the shadowing that is really exemplified in the black and white images. It makes the image much more intense. I'd want to go to the show from those photos! Great work.

I like them in B&W. I think you would lose the intensity and the emotion if they were in color. Nicely done!

The second one, in particular, conveys a feeling of "don't mess with me", which is the image these fighters are trying to project. So I can't tell you if color would work better or not, but these certainly work.

I see MMA in your galery. We don't have cage-fights overhere.

I have about 20000 fight shots from M-1 bellator local fights and the WEC

Not enough time to go back through them and add to my gallery here but I started with a KX

Ron, the K-3, DA*55, and f9.5 seems to have hit a B/W detail sweet spot. As MSL said, the second one really harkens back to the 1940's/50's Time and Look magazine iconic pre and post fight photos. Very well done.

Well it's f10, but you can't choose that in the list. Wow thanks, that more compliment then I've expected. The first one I did because some off the fighters love that pose, but the second one is the serie I wanted to make. In total 20 fighters.

If you want powerful, scary, intimidating, ... leave it black and white. What a good portrait!
