Demon in the Sky
Lens: 43mm Camera: K-5 Photo Location: Pahrump NV ISO: 3200 Shutter Speed: 1/500s Aperture: F5.6
Posted By: Bob Harris, 02-03-2014, 11:23 PM

I used a ND8 filter, changed the WB and adjusted contrast to deepen the red coloring of the sunset for this photo. Taken from our campground in Pahrump NV while enjoying a glass of Merlot. If you use your imagination you can see the Demon in the Sky, drink several glasses of Merlot and you can see much more.

oh, my god! donnervetter! I urgently have to fetch Merlot.
do you remember a dialog from the "Groundhog Day" movie?

first attempt:

Phil: To the groundhog.
Rita: I always drink to world peace.
a few days later:
Rita: What should we drink to?
Phil: I'd like to say a prayer and drink to world peace.

yes! to world peace..several glasses of Merlot now
thank you, Bob

Wow, brother Bob, this formation is amazing - dramatic and almost malevolent. Spectacular photo, my friend.

Hi Bob, wonderful images, both of them but I like the second one much better, that color is as the saying goes out of this world.
