Nice photo. How fast was it doing when you took the pic (I see the wheels scraping along the ground so it must have been decently fast). Thanks for sharing!

What shutter speed were you using? I can obviously tell it is moving by the smoke from the rear left tire. It is a really cool shot but I think if you could have slowed the shutter speed some as to blur certain elements it would be perfect.

Exactly what I was thinking. And panning would make it even cooler - although that would be hard because planes are fast!

Oh I am not downplaying the shot at all, getting a fast moving plane as crisply as that is a feat all in its own!

Thanks for all the comments. I'm not sure how fast the plane was going, but they typically touch down around 120 knots or so. The photo was taken at ISO 200, f/8, and 1/500. I have done the panning, but it really doesn't work too well when your subject is about 500 feet away, and the low contrast from the haze and overcast would have made the background look like mud. Been there, deleted the photos.
