The composition is great - though maybe you should have had a slightly bigger aperture so the horse could be in focus too - nice photo though, I like it

look this examples. lens TAMRON AF 28-200mm f/3.8-5.6 @ 200mm, aperture=8-11 (if less, maybe soft focus)

+crop


ISO400 / f10 / (1/640) 200mm+crop

Great shot.

But what a shame to see all those fences in such a wild and open place.

Those fences kept the west wild for quite a while.
Wish this one was in better focus. It is a nice shot.

Many of these earlier pics were taken from a moving vehicle. I was riding along with my buddy while he did vehicle repossessions.
This was one of those and I only had time for one shot and the camera was on auto. sigh.
