I am a huge self portraiture fan so here is one of my many self portraits but definitely my favorite!

p.s. I swear I'm not conceded I just rather work with myself rather than models lol
p.p.s I'm sorry if the picture turns out too big this is my first photo post on the forum

I like this shot! It looks like your focus is on your arm more so than your face, not sure if that is what you meant to do. This picture is moody and contrasty. You did a fantastic job.

Thanks for the reply! This shot was taken with the cameras 10 sec timer and it was hard to figure out where to focus it but now that I have remote shutter release I'm thinking about redoing this shoot as I really do love it!

Well you definitely nailed the concept and it is very creative. If you mark where you sit and position yourself in a similar position you can chose your focal point to be sure it nails your face next time or you can use the measurement scale on the lens.

he's right.
once i did a self-portrait for curriculum vitae, moved the tripod, trying to get focus in the eye.

and it worked with the remote shutter well

Interesting shot and agree with everyone else about the focusing thing.

I would also move the candle forwards (more to the right in this image) so that both eyes could be seen with the candlelight and the whole of the face too.

I kind of like how the candle covers one eye its like I'm peeking out from behind the flames lol but I did think about seeing what it would look like if both my eyes showed but would I place the candle between them or to the side of one? And cool shot zztopd!
