Photos of Happy 16-50 buyers
Posted By: jsherman999, 04-13-2008, 10:17 PM

.

And here they are! Photos of the happy 16-50 buyers, all 4 of them!

Actually, I meant 'photos by happy 16-50 buyers', my mistake

(photo above is a crop of jpeg snapshot taken with 16-50, I was impressed with sharpness/color. And that skin tone!

Anyone else have good 16-50 examples they'd like to post?

I've posted this before, but this was just a quick snap with the 16-50 on my K10D. I've got more goodies with it, but none online just yet. I'll be honest, if mine has any defects, I've yet to find them, but I haven't gone looking for them, either. In this case, I'd rather be ignorant and happy than informed and miserable.

This shot is only slightly PP'd-just some toning to the towel and swimsuit. The facial skin tones, sharpness, and eye-color are straight out of the camera and dead-on.

Great shot! I hope that's mud.......

I too have a good copy of the 16-50, so I'm pleased to see that several of the happy owners are making their voices heard. Initially it was all the complaints, and I started to wonder if I was missing something with mine, as it seemed good to me.

Now I'm reassured.

Now this is the thread for Da* 16-50 f2.8 with a positive twist.

Despite my constant whinge regarding this lens, I still manage to take it out as a walk around lens quite a lot.

Crap, crap, crap

Friday evening, I was walking around the farm, taking some sunset shots of old equipment and the barn that's falling down. The 16-50 was really hunting and then it stopped focusing. I was looking all over the knobs and settings for what went wrong. Then I saw the problem. One of the little O-Rings that form the weather seals was poking out of the back of the lens!

So, it goes to Golden on Monday morning. Crapola. And I was having so much fun with it, too.

Detail

This image is a detail from Scotty's Cabin in Beauvais Lake Provincial Park, Alberta. I just liked the look of the lichen. 16-50, defaults. EXIF data is intact. For those without a viewer, 1/50, handheld, SR on, f/8.
