UMASS hoops pictures
Posted By: vievetrick, 01-22-2007, 11:33 AM

Got to go to the Umass V. Duquesne game Sunday afternoon and brought along the camera. All shot with *istds w/Sigma 70-200 2.8 @ ISO800. I shot all at F2.8 and don't have the Exif info here with me. I realize there are some guys here that have great access to these games but I think I did okay from my seats. My seats were great, center court and on the floor. First time I ever went to an event I had to move backwards to get better shots (damn scores and press tables in the way ). I could have bumped up the iso a little more to get sharper but I was happy with outcome. All shot in RAW converted with RSE to PSPXI. WB adjustment, crop here and there, all sharpened. Maybe next time up the ISO but overall I was happy with what I got. If you want to see a few more check here Umass game

Comments welcomed.

I wish I had more faces pictures and this was first time shooting Basketball. I have to say, I wished I could get under the net like the pro's. But then again I saw the local papers shots and thought my angle actually worked a ;llittle better for some of the same shots I had that they had. Thanks for looking and comments.

Nice shots Vievetrick! I liked #2 as well. The action was frozen at just the right moment.
