I know how this little guy feels
Lens: sigma 150-500mm f/5-6.3 Camera: Pentax K-5 Photo Location: Ajax, Ontario ISO: 1000 Shutter Speed: 1/350s Aperture: F8

Southern Ontario has recently been blasted with one snow storm after another. I keep three bird feeders in the backyard to make sure the local birds can always find a place to eat.

The K-5 always impressed me for low light performance. The image was shot at ISO 1250 and then tightly cropped. Pretty impressive for a crop sensor.

I agree. When I got up this morning it was -30 C (-22 F). I didn't even go for a walk to pick up the mail.

I don't blame you, the mail is probably all bills anyway.

Get that little guy a jacket, or a cup of cocoa! Be generous with the marshmallows! Nice shot, I like the snow!

Pretty bird. And nice image with the snow drifting by. I'd only add that in weather this cold, water freezes quickly. Make sure the little guys have something to drink!

Choosing K-5, there was an important factor to have good quality for low light performance. It's good choise.

When the birds look that cold you know it is time to stay indoors.
