'Do not fill above the rim'
Lens: DA 18-135mm Camera: K-30
Posted By: ausmoose, 02-07-2014, 03:13 AM

The neighbours have been doing some very fast paced construction in their stripping down and refurbishing the house next door. So tonight I figured I better pop round the side and take a look (for some reason...) I had various (MANY) photos but this one was probably my favourite - I'll post some more soon.

They're certainly following the instructions! (not)

I don't think I've ever seen a bin where this instruction was followed. Demolition always creates far more waste than anyone anticipates.

We have a very appropriate phrase in Scotland which covers these situations beautifully... its "aye right"

Or maybe more like a legal disclaimer when stuff falls out of an overloaded dumpster - the driver has someone else to blame for overstufing it.

I love the dump trucks that have the "not responsible for broken windshields"

I need one on my car that says not responsible for broken noses (if you break my windshield)

Around here one of the biggest driving problems we have (or that annoys me to no end) is the van / SUV / or sometimes even car driver who fails to clear the snow off his roof leading to sudden whiteout conditions when it all comes flying at you as you drive behind said person.
One of these days I have to dig out Bill Cosby's routine about equipping cars with suction cup dart guns so that idiot drivers could easily be identified by the police by the number of darts stuck to their vehicles.

Aye, the common language links are down to you guys "down under" importing a lot of us Scots of the years, some by choice, others no choice.

That's why there's such an affinity between the Scots and the Aussies.
