Great street shots, Stefan. I particularly like number 6. I'm really enjoying "our" trip to Jordan .

The sixth shot is my favorite too. I want to know what he is cooking. Lots of interesting stories and faces here. The first guy looks like he really enjoys his job.

Thank you, Jer. Our Jordan trip isn't over yet. There will be some more people shots and a presentation of the ancient city of Salt--the oldest in old Jordan!

Thank you, Susan. I don't think he's cooking anything--he's mixing spices & powders, which he pours into those nice receptacles.

Excellent shots, I wish I'd done more street photos when I was traveling around the Near East.

A great series on images, did you encounter any local objections on the streets there with your photography?

Thank you, Kd! I had only a woman show me the finger... She was illegally selling cigarettes on the street. Most people didn't know I was taking pics of them. I've developed a certain technique... I have a bag attached to my belt, which I keep in front of my belly. On the bag I keep my camera (like an old Rollei) set at 33-35mm, f5.6, and adequate ISO. I also set the focusing distance and try to respect it when getting near a target. Then, click!--sometimes I even look somewhere else It takes some practice to get good shots, but the technique is working, and I'm getting better at using it.

Aye, I wondered if these were on the fly from the hip, as the level of cooperation was more than I would have expected from there.

Be careful, things can turn ugly pretty damn quick when some folk discover whats actually going on and yes I do speak from experience.

Jordanian are nice people... I don't think anyone would have been aggressive if they discovered I was taking pics of them. But I'll keep in mind what you said for future trips to less friendly places.

I spent many years in Middle Eastern countries, some were better than others, just remember to stay safe.
