Flinders Ranges

A few images in the Flinders ranges east of Port Pirie South Australia. One could spend years exploring this area. we were on the way somewhere else. Another trip in the making.

A panorama of a section of the ranges near Horrock's Pass close to the town of Wilmington.

A practice common in New Zealand and becoming more so here, is for visitors to construct small columns of local stones.

A local Eucalypt tree surviving in dry conditions.

Detail of one of the Eucalypts.

Interesting landscape, and well-captured. You really emphasized the shapes and the curves of the trees and stones. Mmh, makes me wish I could go and relax under one of those trees right now, get away from this frozen country! Thanks for sharing

Very nice but very hot and dry, especially this time of the year.

Most unfrozen, not a snow flake in sight.

Thanks Bob, Some of the Eucalypts have very rich colours in the leaves and bark.
