Ha-ha cheesy title I know. I am also ashamed to know who sang that tune but not ashamed of this shot - one of my best wildlife shots yet. I am no Tom Lusk but hey ya gotta work with what ya got He only stayed up until the shutter click then that was it - under the ice (there are only a few pockets of open water)

Sigma 50-500 , 500mm, f6.7, 1/180, iso 200

Good one!

I like this Jacques. The focus is right on and the rich water colour helps make the shot.

These critters aren't easy to photograph- they seem to dive just as the shutter is released.

As for your "cheesy" title, you should have seen the original title I had for my beaver shots.

Well done- keep them coming!

Thanks Tom high praise indeed from you ! He did indeed dive right after the second click (first shot I missed the focus). Haha I can imagine your title. About 6 years ago my son then in grade 5 had a school project. He and his friend did a web search on 'Canadian Beavers' - I walked in about 2 minutes later wondering what all that silence was haha n'uff said eh
