Spring is not here yet
Posted By: bluestringer, 02-10-2014, 12:14 PM

This time last year the flowers were already blooming, bees and butterflies were gathering pollen, and the Cedar Waxwings were moving through. This year everything is still dead, and no Waxwings yet. Took these photos Feb. 2013.

Beautiful shots, I really like the clarity in the second one. Such amazing detail.

That's some razor sharp imagery you've got going on there, well done.

For those of us neck deep in snow, this would be sufficiently close to spring for any of us. Impressed by the image - first two look like 100 macro lens?, not sure of the third, but all are exceptionally sharp.

Thanks all. MSL, yes the first two were shot with a K200 ( which I don't have anymore and I miss it), and a Pentax 100mm f4 Macro. The Waxwing was shot with a K10 and a Pentax FA 80-320.

Excellent series.

Reminds us that spring might eventually come to Canada again.

I'm kind of amazed by the third. That lens doesn't have a reputation for being exceptional, but this image (at least at this sizing) looks tack sharp to me.
