Lens: Sigma 30mm 1.4 Camera: Pentax K-3 Photo Location: Home ISO: 400 Shutter Speed: 1/180s Aperture: F4
Posted By: Lurch, 02-11-2014, 04:05 AM

Shot in a light box.
White inner sheet + red drop sheet external down the back.
Yongnuo 568EX @1/125 at the rear
Darth Vader propped up about 4 inches to get the angle right (actually standing on the Sigma lens case)
Luke highlighted by a Sigma 530 Super. Cardboard snoot + block card @1/64 (the lowest it will go) then filtered through a single piece of 80gsm paper.
Used an ND8 filter (although should have used ND4 cause I ended up bumping the exposure in post by 2 stops).
PP done in Lightroom.

I'm glad you put the description after the photo. My first thought on seeing this was it was a photo from a wax museum of a full sized model. So I'm quite impressed by what you have achieved using small figurines.

Nice shot. I guess my age is showing. As soon as I read Bespin I thought "Cloud City".

Nice shot - very sharp. To me, this shot looks like a shot of Luke Skywalker with a shadow of Darth Vader in the background..

Whoops... I thought that the name of the image was Mr Lurch, and that this was a photo of some Mr Lurch I hadn't heard of. And when reading the description I somehow missed the part mentioning darth vadar I'm dumb!!

Yeah - thats pretty much the point but with the idea of the red lights in the carbon freezing chamber on Cloud City.
