Critters
Lens: Vivitar 75-205 Camera: K-30 Photo Location: WV

These were from the last hike I took with the Vivitar 75-205 before my new 55-300 WR arrived. Both of these were at 205mm and cropped. Both animals were 50-60 feet away.

Even a squirrel gets a nut every now and then great personality in the first shot.

Thanks for the comments. Ausmoose, that is actually one tree, an old dead Eastern Redcedar. The squirrel was skittering up the tree when I saw it, and it dove into the hollow. I stood there for a couple of minutes until it popped its head out, and I was able to squeeze off one good pic before it zipped back inside.

Thanks Bob. Yes, that's the back of a Pileated. It went around the back side of the tree, so I couldn't get a profile shot.
