Built Ram tough or it was sooooo cold

These sculptures are fantastic and you've captured them very well. Proof that in you are in a province with a real winter every year, you need to learn to make the best of it! Thanks for sharing Dave. (ps. reminds me of the video of the Canadian Tire ice truck - if you haven't seen the video clip it is worth catching once)

It is amazing what an artist can do with frozen water. Fantastic stuff.

Looks like they were made up in sections and then put together, amazing.

Large blocks of ice are cut and stacked and then the sculpting is done. I believe that if they want to get rid of the seams a little blow torching is done to smooth things out.

Thanks for the additional info, you can kinda see the horizontal joins in the sculptures.

amazing and fascinating to view Dave, man it has got to be cold to have these outside. Do they have a beer box ice structure?

Thanks Marc indeed we always have winter some years really bad This year has been off and on but you're correct you have to live with it. I'll check out that video.

haha thanks buddy it was cold that day -25 with a windchill of around -31 but still lots of people outside as it was the Alberta Winter Games
