You have a good eye. I really like the first and third ones especially. I also hope you will keep posting your images of your beautiful country.

A very nice set--I've enjoyed your recent posts to the board as well. A question: what lens/focal length are you using for the first shot?

well, now I've done illustration, you can see the lens used

lens Helios-44
is a Soviet lens 58mm ƒ/2 (copy of the Carl Zeiss Biotar). The Lens is currently made in Russia for the M42 lens mount. Specification

  • Distance scale: 0.5 m to ∞
  • Aperture: f/2 - f/16
  • Focal Length: 58 mm
  • Mount: M42
  • Mount thread for Attachments: M52 x 0.75
  • Weight: 230 g
  • Resolution: 50/30 lines per millimeter
I took the old film camera Zenit, took off its lens.

Added adapter ring. (ring costs ~10$)

set on PENTAX K-5

manual focus.
I shoot those trees on an open aperture because it turns good bokeh, spins on the background.

I was looking for an inexpensive solution, because would love to start taking photos.

Excellent, it seems as if your work on that lens paid off...definitely like the OOF rendering as well.

These lenses have very cool rendering. Maybe it's the spherical aberration of the bokeh, but they also seem to have a very high acutance in the center. especially the first shot.
