View of the Mariinsky Chamber from the steps of the Cathedral Church, Moscow

The Cathedral in honor of the Smolensk Icon of the Mother of God - the oldest temple of the Novodevichy Convent (1524-1525 or 1560s), attributed to the work of either New Aleviz (d. about 1531), or the architect Nestor (died during the construction of the cathedral).
Mariinsky Chamber named after the sister of Tsar Peter the Great Princess Maria, who lived here in the 1690s.
For a time there lived and Princess Sophia.

More interesting Russian architecture.

Thanks for posting these, it would seem that there are now no restrictions on photography in Russia these days, which is great news when there all these gems there.

I like the pictures, but I wonder why you posted the last in B&W unless that is how it was shot.

The last picture I shot on b&w film Kodak BW 400 CN 135
Then, I used old scaner Microtek ScanMaker 8700 (under the Linux system)
The film negative was originally b&w, sorry.

No reason to be sorry. I had the impression you shoot mostly or only film, so the B&W did not surprise. Maybe just you thread title confused me a little.

o!
so, in the next post I showed that green field
But in this post I did not have enough of paints

as we say:
"Samurai without a sword, it's like a samurai with a sword, only without the sword"
(by the "sword" I mean green colour.)
