What a Winter. I can't wait to get to Florida in a few weeks. The snow came down today a 2" an hour for an hour or so. The birds were active around the feeders. One shot of the Hairy Woodpecker and Carolina wren is put in pastel mode with the K5's filter.---charliezap

That second one is what you call whiteout conditions. Ok - I'll ask - were you indoors our outdoors for that shot (I know which way I'm voting)

Hi Marc. I took this from the inside looking out the back door. Discretion is the better part of valor.--charliezap

And also keeps the snow out of your drink. I took a few shots the other day in light snowfall. WR body - check. WR lens - check. Lens hood - check - except that the lens hood was petal shaped and did a great job collecting the snow!

Charlie, I'm sick of snow but it is a good background and hides all of the browns of an ugly winter. Beautiful pics!

Great photos - like the pastel effect on the second one. And the house and snow is really great too.

Good stuff, Capn - my daughter and son-in-law, who moved to your fair state from Palo Alto about six months ago, are definitely California Dreamin'.
