Mossbrae Falls
Lens: DA 15 LTD, FA 50 1.4, F70-210 Camera: K-7 Photo Location: Mossbrae Falls ISO: 100

Visited Mossbrae Falls today. Tried to get Shasta in as well but the weather REALLY REALLY kicked my butt. Rain has never hurt before

At Mossbrae to took out three lenses, the 15, 50, and 70-210.

I also dont think my poor photography skills represent the amazing beauty of this place. It was a very dangerous hike there as well, dodging trains and what not

15mm

50mm

70-210

I don't think you accurately represent your photography skills
These are lovely shots and the second one is stunning. As is the last one in the 15mm group and the first one in the 70-210.

(PS It would help to put blank space between the images)

Thank you for editing your post to include blank space between the images, as I can now appreciate all of them, and they only look better.

I was just looking at them in lightroom and I am pretty dissapointed in the 3rd 15mm shot, it was the only exposure I took like that and I had a water drop on my filter

What do you think is wrong with it? I was trying to use the water to lead your eyes to the bridge. I have a landscape orientation of the same shot and did not like is as much

Excluding the last two images of the moss, where the negative space has a definitive purpose, image #3 is the only one in the set of landscapes that has any large, featureless, colorless regions. The top left is just dull grey sky. So rather than having the water lead to the bridge, I sort of start at the greyness and am pulled to the colorful regions on the right. The bridge barely registers. I don't think this will solve the problem, but look at the image when you crop the top 10-20% and see if you like it better. I think the more you crop the more the bridge will stand out (although the image may fail to connect for other aesthetic reasons)

Here is the third shot at a wider aperture, cropped. Also a landscape of the same shot. I dont know why I like these.

Wow, these are beautiful shots. I love them all and definitely think you've captured the place well - awesome work.
