Happy Family day for those Canadians that are celebrating it and Happy President's day for those in the US.

It looks like it will be a reasonable day today. I got out early this morning and tried to captured how the day begun.

click on image twice for larger view

#1 I sneaked into the banks of the wetlands and when I turned around I kinda like the view

#2 - then I got clear of all the bush for a little less cluttered shot

#3 - Sun just starting to come up

#4 - a telephoto view of ealry morning

#5 - just a few minutes before full sunrise

All nice, but #5 is my favorite. I'm a sucker for sunsets/sunrises.

The third one and the fifth one are my favorites but they are just beautiful. Good job Dave. That moon is just perfectly captured.

The first is interesting, but on my monitor the trees are nearly invisible. Was that your intent, or is it just JPEG rendering troubles?

Be a bit careful when your taking the first couple of images, that you don't get lifted for sneaking around houses with a camera at this time of day.

He's smart enough not to use the flash. Lovely set Dave and clearly a productive morning. #3 is the one that calls me most, but there is also much to like about the colours in the fifth shot.

I like the third one far more than any others because I think the composition is awesome how you have the textured open space in the fore ground, the houses about a third of the way down from the top and the warm sun at the top, just perfect.

Thanks Albert yeah that was the intent. I wanted the moon properly exposed.
